Neukölln is one of the most diverse districts in Berlin. Its colorful mix of bustle, liveliness and multicultural flair makes Neukölln something special. Especially in North Neukölln, on the border with Kreuzberg between Landwehrkanal and Sonnenallee, the district has undergone a major transformation in the past three years and has become a real hotspot. For this reason, this area is colloquially known by Berliners as Kreuzkölln.
With its 329,767 inhabitants (as of 31.12.2018) on an area of about 45 km², Neukölln is one of the smallest but densely populated districts of Berlin. The number of residents in Neukölln continues to grow steadily: the Senate Department for Urban Development forecasts a population increase to 350,000 by 2030.
In addition to countless restaurants, quaint pubs and trendy scene bars, Neukölln also has a green side to relax and feel good. For example, in the estate park at Britz Castle or in the Britzer Garten, which is one of the most beautiful gardens in Germany, because here you stroll through a large lake landscape, past streams and springs, spacious meadows and colorful flower beds. In the midst of this diversity that Neukölln offers is Hobrechtstraße.
